Guru, which was founded in 2009, collaborates with some of the top pro-anglers to develop a comprehensive tackle line. It aspires to create equipment that is not only innovative, but also efficient and cost-effective. It couldn't get pro-anglers like Steve Ringers, Andy Pell, and Dean Macey to collaborate with it if they weren't delivering on that mission as a brand that works with the best.

Guru's slogan is "knowledge is power," and the company relies on the expertise of its pro-anglers, or "gurus," to create creative tackle that more than fulfils the needs of the modern match fishing community. Dean Macey, a former Olympic decathlete who has already created a name for himself in the specimen angling scene, is part of the team. Macey has already hosted his own angling show and has been a co-host of Fishing Guru for a long time.
